Former FOCIS president Anne Davie, current FOCIS secretary Christine Grayden and her husband John Eddy, FOCIS member, were all awarded Life Memberships of our sister organisation Phillip Island Conservation Society Inc last Saturday night. Anne received her award "In recognition of community engagement, exemplary leadership and guidance". John received his "In recognition of practical leadership, mentoring and expertise in the field". Christine received her Life Membership of PICS "In recognition of decades of conservation and outstanding Secretarial contributions". "Ocean Sounds" concert is coming up on Churchill Island next Saturday 18th January. This is a family event but you must buy your ticket and also a car pass from their website. There are also buses running to the event. Find all the information here: www.oceansoundsfestival.com.au/ The concert starts at midday and so far the forecast is for cloudy and 25 degrees, so very pleasant but you will need to rug up for the evening part of the concert.
