Friends of Churchill Island Society Inc. > Blog

Samantha and the Churchill Island Heritage Farm Team have been nominated as finalists in the 2020 Victorian Museum Awards in the Victorian Collections Award for Excellence in Museum Cataloguing category. These awards acknowledge the hard work and dedication of organisations like ours that have been cataloguing their collections online using Victorian Collections. Fingers crossed for the team who will be watching the ceremony online on 8 December.

FOCIS General Meeting scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2020 has been cancelled

Friends of Churchill Island Society Inc. > Blog

To the members of the Friends of Churchill Island Society,

Here is a message on behalf of the FOCIS Executive Committee.

As many of you would know, the Nature Parks Board has made the very difficult decision to temporarily close the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Reserve, Antarctic Journey, and Churchill Island.

As a consequence, the FOCIS General Meeting that was scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2020 has been cancelled.

Hopefully we will still be able to go ahead with the Annual General Meeting currently scheduled for Saturday 15 August 2020.

Regards,
Tom O’Dea, Treasurer
