About the Society’s Fundraising Campaigns

  1. Donations to each campaign will be paid into the FOCIS Churchill Island Heritage Fund.
  2. The purpose of the Fund is to help the Society address its principal purpose which is: The promotion of the moveable cultural heritage of Churchill Island.
  3. The Fund is an endorsed DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) fund with the Australian Taxation Office (ABN: 78667051020).
  4. The Fund is listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations maintained under Subdivision 30-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
  5. The Friends of Churchill Island Society Inc. is a recognised charity and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).   6. Donations of $2 or more to the Fund are tax-deductible.
  7. A Tax Receipt will be issued for each donation of $2 or more.
  8. You can make a donation by paying Online, by sending us a Cheque/Money Order, or by Direct Deposit into the Heritage Fund bank account.
  9. The Committee of the Friends of Churchill Island Society Inc. will manage the Heritage Fund in accordance with the Society’s Rules.

  11. If donations to a particular campaign fall short of the campaign goal, the Committee may decide to make up the difference from existing funds.
  12. Even though a donation is made to a particular campaign, the Committee may, at its discretion, use the funds for other purposes in accordance with the Rules.
  13. If you wish to remain anonymous, please let us know. Otherwise, your name and donation amount may be published in the Society’s Newsletter or on the Society’s web site.

  15. There is no need to logon to the web site with your web site username and password to make a donation.
  16. You CAN pay for your donation using your Credit Card or Debit Card.
    • We can ONLY accept Credit Card and Debit Card payments online via this web site.
    • We CANNOT accept Credit Card and Debit Card payments by phone, by email, by post or in person.
    • You DON’T need to have a PayPal account to use your Credit Card or Debit Card.
    • If you DO have a PayPal account, you can use your PayPal account balance, your Bank account, your Credit Card or Debit Card as the source of funds for your payment.
  17. If you DO NOT wish to pay online, you can download and print a donation form and pay by Cheque or Money Order (AUD only) or you can pay by Direct Deposit into the Society’s bank account.
